  Introduction to electric roller

  The electric roller is a new type of driving device which places the motor and reducer together inside the roller body. It is mainly used in fixed and mobile belt conveyors to replace the traditional motor, and the reducer is a separate driving device outside the driving drum.

  Basic classification of electric roller

  At present, there are four basic methods for the classification of electric rollers. That is to say, according to the motor cooling mode, the type of reducer transmission structure used, the basic working environment characteristics of the electric roller and the motor placed inside and outside the roller, the electric roller is classified.

  Operating conditions of electric roller 

  1. The operating ambient temperature is - 15 ℃,+40 ℃;

  2. The altitude does not exceed 1000 meters,

  3. The temperature of transported materials shall not exceed 60 ℃;

  4. Common voltage: 220V, 380V, frequency: 50Hz.

  Applicable scope and characteristics of electric roller

  1. It can replace the widely used motor reducer type external drive device to form a belt conveyor, which can transport coal, ore, sand, cement, flour and other bulk materials, as well as sacks, equipment and other finished items. 

  2. The structure is simple and compact, and the space occupied is small.

  3. It is well sealed and suitable for working places with high dust concentration and wet mud.

  4. Easy to use and maintain, safe and reliable operation, long service life.

  5. Less energy consumption, and easy to achieve centralized control.

  6. It can meet various demands of backstop, braking, rubber coating, etc.

  Introduction to roller conveyor

  It is applicable to the transportation of various boxes, bags, pallets and other pieces of goods. Bulk materials, small items or irregular items need to be placed on pallets or transported in turnover boxes. It can transport materials with large single weight or bear large impact load.

  Structural form: according to the driving mode, it can be divided into power drum line and non power drum line, and according to the layout, it can be divided into horizontal conveying drum line, inclined conveying drum line and turning drum line. It can also be specially designed according to customer requirements to meet the requirements of various customers. The inner width of the standard roller is 200, 300, 400, 500, 1200mm, etc. Other special specifications can also be used according to customer requirements. The standard turning inner radius of the turning drum line is 600, 900, 1200mm, etc. Other special specifications can also be used according to customer requirements. The diameter of the straight section roller is 38, 50, 60, 76, 89mm, etc.

  Selection of roller 

  1. Roller length selection:

For goods with different widths, the roller with appropriate width shall be selected. Generally, "Conveyed goods+50mm" shall be adopted.

  2. Selection of drum wall thickness and shaft diameter:

According to the weight of the conveying material, it is evenly distributed to the contact rollers, and the required bearing capacity of each roller is calculated to determine the wall thickness and shaft diameter of the roller.

  3. Drum material and surface treatment:

Determine the material and surface treatment (carbon steel galvanized, stainless steel, blackened or rubber coated) of the drum according to the different transportation environments.

  4. Select the installation method of the roller:

  According to the specific requirements of the overall conveyor, choose the installation mode of the roller: spring pressed type, internal tooth shaft type, full tenon type, through shaft pin hole type, etc.

  The width and taper of the tapered roller of the bending machine are determined by the size of the goods and the turning radius.

  Safety Operation Procedures for Drum Cleaning 

  1. Wear dust mask and gloves.

  2. The cleaning drum must be operated by a specially assigned person. Before starting, check whether the equipment operates normally, whether there are defects, and whether the fasteners are loose.

  3. Each batch of castings together with core iron shall not exceed 75%~80% of the drum volume. The maximum piece weight shall not exceed the specified value.

  4. Before loading, the roller shall be fixed with a pin to avoid injury caused by rotation during loading.

  5. After the cylinder is installed with castings, the cylinder cover shall be covered and fastened with bolts. During cleaning, start the ventilation and dust removal equipment first, and then start the drum.

  6. The cylinder cover can only be opened after the cylinder cover is turned to the front and fixed with a bolt when the casting is unloaded.

  7. Personnel shall not approach the drum during operation. Castings or other things shall not be stacked around.

  8. Do not open the cylinder cover before the impeller of the shot blasting drum stops completely.

  Maintenance of roller

  In order to prolong the service life of the drum, the drum must be well maintained.

  1. Clean the dust and other foreign matters on the roller regularly.

  2. Regularly check whether the welding position between the roller shell and the end cover is firm.

  3. The lubrication is good to reduce wear loss.

  4. Avoid overload operation and prolong the service life of the drum.
